Hayfield Elementary School
Soaring Through the Summer with Books!
Summer Reading is Important!
Summer Reading Postcards!
Fill out a summer reading postcard telling us what you are reading!! The postcard template can be found here . The students must log in to their FCPS Google account (@fcpsschools.net) to access the template. You may print out and fill in as many postcards as you want to. Please don't mail the postcards to the school this summer. Upon return to school, a mailbox will be set up outside the library. Your child may drop off their postcards there. A student will randomly be drawn from each grade level to win $25 Scholastic dollars to be spent at the next book fair!

Attention All Incoming Kindergarteners!
Attention All Rising Seventh Graders!
Here is a site that was designed by middle school teachers to highlight great young adult books. It’s a good way for our middle schoolers to explore current titles. Each book has a description, links to library locations of the title, and links to other books with similar themes and genres. Some books also include video book talks and short excerpts. The site will continue to grow as new titles are added throughout the year.
