Youth COVID Vaccine - Dose # 2 Schedule

  • These clinics are for students ages 5 - 11 years old who received their 1st dose at a CCSD clinic. (1st doses may be available at some clinics. Please check with your school nurse to confirm.)
  • Students should plan to report to their school’s clinic or to the location where they received their 1st dose, whichever is more convenient. Click here to view the clinic schedule.
  • A parent/guardian must be present for their student to receive the COVID vaccine at school. A DPH consent form is required (you may complete it at the clinic).
  • Appointments are not required for the second dose. However, students should report for their 2nd dose at the same time they were given their 1st dose.
  • Please note: the Barrow Elementary Clinic has extended hours due to high volume. Parents attending that clinic, please feel free to come anytime between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Middle school students who are 11 years of age are welcome to attend any of the elementary events to receive their vaccination.

Get Comfortable Grant - Request for Proposals

With guidance from their Get Comfortable Advisory Council, Creature Comforts Brewing selected literacy as the multi-year impact area for the Get Comfortable campaign, focusing specifically on 3rd-grade reading proficiency as the metric of success.

For the 2022 school year, the pilot program will serve the scholars and families at H. B. Stroud Elementary. Creature Comforts will provide volunteers, time, and financial resources, ultimately hoping to achieve a proof of concept for the strategy -- and eventually, roll out programs community-wide.

Creature Comforts Brewing is looking for partners to join them in their commitment to increasing 3rd-grade reading proficiency within CCSD schools from 20% to 60% over the next five years. If your agency wishes to be considered as a 2022 Get Comfortable recipient, please submit this RFP by December 20 at 5:00 p.m. If you have questions about this program or the RFP, please contact Ally Hellenga at

Drug-Free Athens Student Survey/Webinar

Drug-Free Athens Student Survey

Drug-Free Athens requests students complete a survey to gather information about their 4 core measures (past 30-day use, perception of risk, perception of peer disapproval, and perception of parent disapproval) for substance prevention and poster designs for positive social norms for youth ages 11-18. The questions provided in this survey are the same questions taken from the Georgia Student Health Survey and from recommended questions from ONDCP for substance abuse prevention efforts.
