Be Wise in Spending

No Promises in the Wind

In the book, Josh and his little brother Joey learn the value of a single penny during the Great Depression of the 1930s. That everybody is desperate for any amount of money from anywhere. They embark on a cross-country journey that brings them new sights, smells, and people. They learn that not only is spending wisely important, but that the value of family and friendship is much greater.

Man vs. Nature

Josh and Joey battle the elements in a fight for survival. They encounter chilling cold weather, starvation, and other people on their journey.
