Mustang News - November 11th, 2022

From The Principal...

It was so rewarding to witness and participate in USA Week that was sponsored by Student Council. I commend the students for creating and implementing a Spirit Week that recognizes and celebrates veterans and first responders. MSHS is so blessed to have three veterans who sacrificed for our country and who are such wonderful role models for the students and staff. Happy Veterans Day Mr. Bonner, Mr. Blocher, and Mr. Talbott. We appreciate you! Finally, I would like to thank Ms. Tindall and Ms. Perez for all of their efforts with USA Week. It was evident how much pride the students took in participating this week.

Have a wonderful weekend.

From The Counseling Department...

MSHS School Counselors are resuming classroom guidance lessons on Monday with remaining 10th grade advisories and will begin meeting with 9th grade advisories to discuss MSHS graduation requirements and play a fun trivia game! Please ask your student about our visit as they will also be getting a copy of their high school transcript as well as learn how to track their individual credit status. We finished meeting with all 11th grade advisories last week however, if your student missed this lesson there will be a "Makeup Lesson" on December 2nd in the media center. All lessons are expected to be completed by December 1st. We are excited to have this opportunity to meet with all students!!

Huge shout out to B&G! Noah Sobeck went above and beyond mounting an engine for our science class. And thank you to Luftkraft Fabrication for letting students borrow this engine to explore the physics behind our cars. Also, Luftkraft is generously hosting students for a tour of their metal fabrication site.

A Mustang Opportunity...

This is it...the last European tour headed by Mr Brown will happen this upcoming summer. Our destination is the beautiful island of Ireland. This tour combines the excitement of the big city (Dublin) with the traditions of Ireland's countryside as we visit Galway, Killarney, Blarney, and more.

From historical museums to sheep dog demonstrations, a horse farm visit to kissing the Blarney stone, this is a tour you don't want to miss.
