Mrs. Guier's News

16 Sept 2016

A week in review

This week we read the poem/rhyme about Humpty Dumpty and put it in our notebooks. We worked on finding the letters Hh and Dd within the poem, and sequenced pictures in order from 1-5. In math we worked on counting sets of cubes and taking away or adding 1-2 more to the set and recounting to figure out how many we had.

During our News 2 you time we learned about Hurricanes. We learned that hurricanes don't affect us much in the midwest, but that we experience other types of severe weather. The students gave us a list of types of severe weather we experience here, and how to stay safe during severe weather.

Today we had a fire drill, and the students all did a great job getting out quick and waiting to return to the building!

We continued to work on our IEP goals within our curriculum and during groups.
