Principal's Pen
Happy new year! Our new virtue of the month for January is humility. Humility is the awareness that our gifts come from God. It also means that we recognize and appreciate the gifts God has given to others. This month we will help our students recognize their own gifts and those of their classmates and find ways to say thank you to God. You will find a sheet on humility in your Monday Mailer today.
With winter in full swing we should be prepared for snow days or delays. These days are announced through email. You will also find an announcement on SchoolSpeak, our website, and on TV6 news. We no longer send text messages to announce snow days due to the cost.
Make sure your children bring snow pants, hats, and gloves for recess. We go out every day unless the temperature is below zero. Students need snow pants and boots to play in the snow.
Our Caught Being a Christian Award this week goes to Isaac Sage. Isaac is one of our third grade students. He helped one of his classmates clean up and put away their science materials. He was practicing the virtue of orderliness. Great job, Isaac!
God bless,
Angela Oller
