Military Night for G-D Hockey
The 8th annual Military Night high school varsity hockey match-up between Groton-Dunstable and North Middlesex will be Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 5:45PM at The Groton School, Groton, Ma.
Both MIAA varsity hockey teams invite all those who have served our armed forces to attend in honor.
The teams will pay special tribute to U.S.M.C. Sgt. Wm. J. Woitowicz, a 2009 GD graduate, who died in battle in the Afghanistan War and was posthumously awarded the Silver Star. Funds raised at the game will go to the Marine Raider Foundation in honor of Sgt. Woitowicz. Promotional materials will also be available at the game for supporting the Veteran Service Garden Brick Benefit. The Brick Benefit is part of the Groton Dunstable Field Renovation project and aims to place the names of all Veterans who’ve attended Groton Dunstable Regional High School on brick pavers that will adorn the future Veteran Service Garden at the new field.

Music Honor Society Roundup by Taryn Emerle (2020)
This past Friday, MHS hosted our second Open Mic Night of the year with many especially unique acts. From a mother-daughter duet to an instrumental adaptation of Mo Bamba, it’s safe to say these Open Mics have something for everyone.
As the first Open Mic Night of the New Year, it brought in a few first time performers, one of them being sophomore Jadyn Correia. “It was way more fun than I expected. I usually get nervous for this type of thing but since it’s all my friends in the audience it’s a really great environment to perform in” said Jadyn of the event.
Looking ahead, there are many more chances to see the talented students of GD’s music program perform. The next is the GD Chamber Choir’s "Fun"-Raiser, which will feature Chamber, Jazz Band and two local bands along with a silent auction, food and more. This will be taking place on Saturday, March 30 from 6-10 pm at Devens Common Center, so be sure to come out and support the music program!
