Important Message from the Principal
Happy new year to all students, families, and staff in our RMS family!
We are so glad to welcome students back this week. We missed seeing and interacting with them over break, and we hope that all of you were able to get some valuable time with family and friends.
Please enjoy our holiday episode of “100 Yards with Mr. Curry,” in which we highlight two of our recent students of the week. You can view the video at the following link: https://youtu.be/31Z8HiaXTTk
This week, we will be reminding and re-teaching routines, procedures, and expectations with students. There will be an emphasis on reducing tardiness to class, as well as renewed focus on health and safety guidance, such as wearing masks/face coverings and social distancing.
Assistant Principal, Mr. Quichocho, and I will also be presenting to students on reducing bullying and harassment, including responsible social media use. Attached is a document called “Raising Digitally Responsible Youth” that families can use as a guide for helping students use social media and the internet safely and responsibly.
Please help us by reinforcing with your students that it is important to be on time to class, to continue to follow safety protocols by wearing a mask properly and social distancing, and to treat others with dignity and respect both in person and on social media.
Thank you all for your continued support of Ridgeline and of Yelm Community Schools!
Sincerely,
Craig Curry
Principal

Inclement Weather
View Flash Alert for today's status OR to subscribe to receive text or email alerts
Sometimes during the school year, we face the possibility of inclement weather and school closure or schedule changes. Typically, families will be notified of emergency schedule changes by an automated phone call, email and/or text. We will announce closures and delays as early as possible but not later than 5:30 a.m. Occasionally circumstances change quickly and late announcements are unavoidable. The following information is for reference in the event that the schools are closed or buses operate on an emergency schedule:
- School Closure: All schools will be closed all day and any activities planned for the day or evening will be announced by 12pm on the district website.
- Emergency Schedule: Indicates that schools will start on a delayed schedule. Parents are reminded that although the buses will start the runs later, if we are on an emergency schedule, the buses may be slightly later near the end of the run. We request that parents make allowances for this.
- Limited Transportation: Limited transportation will prevail if some roads become inaccessible or if the county announces road closures. School will be in session unless otherwise announced by the Superintendent’s Office.
