As a newly transitioned employee, we have supplied you with helpful resources to assist you in your new role. The electronic substitute orientation serves as the official transition information.
SUBSTITUTE NEW HIRE RESOURCES
BEING AN ENGAGED SUBSTITUTE
Please find the information below for a Powerpoint with instructions on being an engaged substitute in the Dallas Independent School District.
ASSIGNMENTS IN ABSENCE MANAGEMENT
In order to obtain a successful clock-in, an assignment must be entered into the Absence Management System. Please see your campus office manager to ensure the proper vacancy is entered.
CLOCK IN & CLOCK OUT PROCEDURES
The Substitute Office would like to inform all substitute employees that it is district policy to clock in AND out at every campus assignment. This is to ensure that all proper information is rolling over to your time cards for office managers to properly complete for payroll. Please make sure you are accepting your assignments through Aesop, which will feed to the biometric clocks at all district campuses.
Using the biometric clock, be sure to clock both in and out upon arriving and leaving your campus every day. While rare, if you are unable to clock in using the biometric clock, be sure to let your office manager know.
