COME TOGETHER IN PRAYER

PRAYER is a primary work of God's people. It is a vital connection to God where we can hear from, listen to, and respond to the Lord. We encourage you to pray for these requests during the week. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayer. (1 Peter 3:12)

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Loretta Sellers went to be with the Lord on January 5.

  • Lois Whipp is hospitalized and in intensive care.

  • Art Matthiessen, brother of Carla Kennedy, is battling cancer and is showing few signs of improvement.

  • Protection for our military, law enforcement, first responders, revival in America, and God’s wisdom for the President and political leaders.

MEMORIAL OPEN HOUSE

  • A memorial open house for Joseph McClintock is scheduled for this Sunday, January 14, 12:00pm to 4:00pm, at the McClintock Home, 5602 E 32nd Street.

ELDER OF THE WEEK

PASTOR OF THE WEEK
  • Floyd Morgan, his wife, Catherine, and their adult sons Byron (Samantha), Blake (Laura), and Braden (Audrey).

CHURCH OF THE WEEK

  • The Springs Church

  • Prayer Requests: Our three services are quite full, and we need to add a fourth service. There are many challenges we need to meet to be able to do this.

There are more concerns within the body at Christ Community Church. Please come to the Lobby Counter on Sunday for a more complete and detailed list of the people who are in need of your prayers. Contact Pastor Rick to update the Prayer List.

MISSIONARY OF THE MONTH

Christy Owen Lviv, Ukraine, Josiah Venture

Christy grew up in Christ Community Church and is daughter to Jack and Jacki Owen. After a short-term mission trip to Kiev, Ukraine, called Love the Children ’97, Christy decided to serve in missions and has been doing so for the past 15 years. When Josiah Venture combined music ministry in Eastern Europe, it was a perfect fit to move into full-time missionary work.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for willing local churches and Ukrainian volunteers to start two more Fusion choirs in different regions this spring.
  • Pray for the Fusion Family Festival this March, where all five choirs will come together and perform and share the Gospel.
  • Pray that parents would be open to having their teenagers attend Fusion and eventually a new church and that they would hear the Gospel through their own teens.
  • Praise that we are seeing a TON of fruit in this ministry of reaching teenagers with the Gospel through music. And we are seeing disciples that make disciples!
