Meetinghouse Road Improvements

With the Wawa construction project occurring near the school, the township will be making some improvements to Meetinghouse Rd. Of note, they will be adding stop signs and speed tables (think speed bump but longer and wider, and more effective). More information is/will be available through the township website. A few parents had asked about this at our PTO meeting and I wanted to share some of the information I was able to gather from the township.

Road Closure Information

Below is a list of upcoming road closures, provided by the PennDoT contractor working on York Road. The information has been sent to CBSD transportation. I received this information from Chief Goldberg and wanted to share. He will be publicizing it further through Township social media.

  • June 1st at 7 a.m. through June 5th at 5 a.m. – Ridge Drive North Intersection across from Outback Steakhouse
  • June 8th at 7 a.m. through June 12th at 5 a.m. – Deer Run & School Road Intersections Deer Run is at MBIT, School Rd is north of MBIT on the east side
  • PennDot has agreed to delay the road closure at York and School Road until after the end of the school year on June 18th. School Board member John Gamble took an active role in getting this schedule change along with assistance from State Representative Bernie O'Neill. While residents would be able to exit via Mill Road at the back of the development, school buses would not have been able to access students due to the weight limits on the bridge on School Road. PennDot will be announcing the change in schedule in the near future.
