AIESEC in UTP Extraordinary General Meeting - LCP Election

AIESEC in UTP Extraordinary General Meeting, a trial for potential leaders to display their leadership and capabilities to be the next leader of the organization. Held on 13th December 2014, two courageous souls, Loo Kai Rong and Jay Anil Singh Shemar stepped forward to take up the challenge.

Started by an opening speech, both candidates manifested their visions, capabilities and quality to move forward along the LCP application process. Their speeches are definitely inspiring and motivating. Followed by a series of Q&A and case studies, they had to provide solid answers within a limited time to the questions given by attendees ranging from personal to AIESEC as a whole! Tiring yet challenging, both candidates did an impressive job throughout these sessions. Several interesting questions as well as the humorous answers even brought laughter to the crowd. Do you remember Bahasa AIESEC? Check it out in our Facebook group!

Voting session ran smoothly. Loo Kai Rong enjoyed a chilling water shower, passed the Vote of Confidence proudly. And with a close call, Jay Anil Singh Shemar couldn't manage to proceed to the next application step. But his true spirit and determination in taking the bold step has definitely leave an impact to everyone of us.

EGM ended with a parody by our current LCP, Pravin Nair and our Chairperson, Avinash Kumar Manoharan, who was the LCP for the previous term. The funny moments portrayed how crazy AIESECers are. What happened? Guess it's the time to find out by yourself ;)

Proceeded to LCP interview on 18th December 2014, Loo Kai Rong who passed the VoC went through an intense Q&A session with the panelists for 4 hours. However, he was yet to be met with the expectations of a potential LCP after evaluating by the panelists. Nonetheless, we are proud of both candidates for their spirits and efforts. Throughout the applications, they had not only leave an impact on themselves, but also inspired everyone of us in our journey of life.
