Freshmen Orientation (Transition to Hybrid)
When we move to the hybrid model, we have detailed plans to help transition freshmen back to the building prior to our first day. More information will be shared with those families who selected the hybrid model. Those who chose full remote learning may have an opportunity if/when we welcome more students back in the building next semester.
Be on the lookout for more information regarding Freshmen Orientation once the decision is made to return to the hybrid model.
Remediation for Last Year's Classes.
As a reminder, students have until November 16, 2020 to complete their remediation work for the second semester of the 2019-20 school year. Please check your student’s grades in PowerSchool by going to the Grade History tab on the left side of the parent portal. In the event that an "INC" for Incomplete is noted, your student should work with his/her respective teacher to finish the expected remote learning coursework.
In the event that your student does not complete the remediation work, his/her grade will default to an Audit (AU) of the course. An audit indicates they took the course; however, they receive no credit and it does not affect their GPA.
Final Exams
Due to our remote learning environment, we will not be administering final exams. As a result, there will not be an assessment worth 20% of a student's grade. Teachers may give a project or assignment to cumulatively assess student knowledge and/or skills. However, it will count equally with other assessments throughout the semester and will not be more heavily weighted.
December 16th, 17th, and 18th were marked for final exams. These days will now follow our defined bell schedule and will be regular class days.

You will also need to call your student absent from school and list the symptoms they are experiencing- please be specific. If your child experiences ANY of these COVID-like symptoms during the day they will be sent to the health office. You will be called and required to immediately pick up your child. We thank you in advance for assisting us with keeping your child, other children, and staff safe during this time of pandemic.
