Texas Red Oak
Full Height-
Climate it grows best in-
Life span- 50-100 years
Leaves are medium sized deciduous very common type leave.
Does not produce flowers, produces acorns.
Reproduction method- Another tree blossoms. Blossoms turn into acorns. Acorns fall another tree grows.
Scientific Name- Quercus buckleyi
To help the tree survive we would water it, give it sunlight, and provide a healthy, clean aired environment.
Animals including birds, elk, timberwolves, mountain lions, and white tailed deer are dependent on the tree. Acorns are also dependent on the tree.
Limiting factors that would prevent the tree from growing and reproducing are no water, no sunlight, and that would give it no photosynthesis.
Fungi and insects are the parasites that effect the possible adaptations.
Possible adaptations are bark for the cold, roots for water, acorns to feed animals.
Mulch, water, air, and sunlight are the abiotic factors it needs to survive.
Effect it will have on TMS environment: Growth, give us oxygen, shade. We need these things the tree provides for us.
