Dear Madera Families,
The next few weeks will be filled with many learning opportunities and some great community events. Please join us for Winter Wonderland on the 9th and visit our book fair. Books make great winter break companions!
I wish you all kindness, patience, and peace during the holiday season.
As a friendly reminder, please slow down in the parking lot. Some of our littles do not reach the height of your side mirrors making it difficult to see them.
Have an amazing week!
Go Mustangs!

First ever Madera Math Festival-Volunteers needed!
On December 15th, we will be hosting a math festival for 3rd-5th graders. Students will rotate through the MPR to play math games and have fun math experiences for 45 minutes. Students will get a chance to choose which games they want to play and for how long.
We will need volunteers for the day. Set up will begin at 8:00 and we should be finished by 11:30. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and be able to attend a pre-meeting on 12/13 at 9AM.
8:00- 8:20 - set up
8:20- 9:05- 3rd grade
9:20- 10:05- 4th grade
10:30- 11:15- 5th grade
Volunteers would need to meet with the TOSA coordinator on 12/13 most likely at 9 AM to experience the games and walk through the duties for the day and how to support students.
Volunteers would also need to have volunteer forms completed.
We will have a Math Festival for our Kinder to 2nd graders on January 24th.
If you are interested in volunteering please let us know by signing up! Here is the link to the sign up genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E45AEAA22A0FEC25-madera

Other ways to support PTA...add a smile to your Amazon account!
Search in the list of charities for "Madera PTA." and select it to donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to our PTA when you shop.
Paper Donation Request
Start donating through your amazon smiles account with your first purchase of Premier paper for our school! Our copy machines are quite picky and prefer a particular type of paper. This paper helps us keep our copiers running smoothly, prevents jams, and prevents more costs associated with repairs. If you would like to donate paper to our cause, please click here to see the allowed paper. For extra convenience, it can be shipped directly to the school.
Pocket Change Challenge!
Have a bunch of change hanging around the house, in between the couch cushions, in the car, and on top of the washer? Want to donate to a good cause? Have your child give your spare change to the teacher the week after Thanksgiving and it will go towards a fun, school wide assembly. A portion of the funds will also be donated to a local community organization. The class that collects the most will earn a classroom prize.
Madera Handbook
This is a great source of information for absences, dress code, cell phones, birthdays, the health and wellness policy, personal items, and volunteerism. Click here or on the picture for the handbook.
