From the Principal's Desk
August 23, 2022
Greetings FWAFA Family,
A BIG thank you to all of our students, teachers, and families for an absolutely GREAT first week of school. Thank you for your patience as we worked through the transition to MySchoolBucks on the cafeteria side. It is now operational, and you can sign up for an account, link your student to the account, and add funds to the account from our school website.
We have two BIG events this week at FWAFA.
Tuesday, August 23 (tomorrow) is Meet the Teacher for middle school and high school. 7th graders to 12th graders were given an extra copy of their schedule from their English teacher today. You can use this schedule to move from class to class through the bell schedule. You can also find your student's schedule in Jupiter Ed. We will start 1st period class at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 25 is Meet the Teacher for elementary school. All families will start in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. to meet the Fine Arts teachers and then move to your student's homeroom class. After that, you will rotate from academic teacher to academic teacher.
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson

Picture Day Details
The student's name that will be in the yearbook is the name that is listed as his/her/their "legal" name.
If your child prefers a different name, you can email Ryan.wiggins@fwafa.org and let her know to change it for the yearbook. Your child can also let the yearbook helpers or the photographer know, and we will change it on the notecards they hold up while taking their picture.
3rd-11th grade will be photographed in their school uniforms. No sweatshirts or fleece jackets allowed in pictures.
12th graders - these are your silly pictures for ID's only. You can wear whatever you want, including hats, etc. You must be in dress code the remainder of the day.
If you have any questions, you can email Ryan.wiggins@fwafa.org

New Cafeteria Accounts - My School Bucks
We are nearing completion of the migration to MySchoolBucks for meal purchases. We anticipate being fully ready to go for lunches today - Monday, August 22.
Most students are in the system, and we've spent the weekend finalizing those that are not in the system. There are some students that show last year's grade. Do not worry about that, we will get it corrected on our end, but that will not prohibit you from uploading funds or your child being able to purchase meals.
For the meals this past week, any amount that they had accrued will be applied to the funds uploaded. We have done our best to keep track of what is owed. If you believe it is incorrect, please let us know, and we will do our best to get it fixed.
If you are not able to upload funds to your child's account today, please reach out to Cheryl deMeyere at cheryl.demeyere@fwafa.org. She should be able to get anything corrected.
