Asst. Principal Named at Rollins

Jody Johnson has been named assistant principal at Rollins Elementary. She had served as assistant principal at Bayyari since 2019.

"I’m extremely excited to be able to join the staff at Rollins Elementary to build a culture of risk-taking and empowerment. I have loved my time at Bayyari and have learned a lot. They will always be family. I also want to thank Ms. Mullican for giving me opportunity to help lead Bayyari." said Johnson.

Johnson also added "I want to thank Dr. Cleveland for this opportunity and always believing in me. I want to thank Dr. Thompson for empowering me and for the opportunity to partner with her to empower our teachers and students."

Johnson is a product of Springdale Schools, attending K-12 and graduating from Springdale High School in 1999. She attended the University of Arkansas Graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor Degree in Anthropology and then Harding University Graduating in 2011 with a Master Degree Educational Leadership. She has worked in Springdale since 2004.

Dr. Annette Thompson, principal of Rollins Elementary said "I am excited that Jody Johnson has joined our team as our assistant principal. She has learned about innovative teaching practices through professional development sponsored by the Office of Innovation for Education at the University of Arkansas, The Institute of Personalized Learning in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and The Innovation Institute sponsored by the Springdale School District. She is a hardworking professional and loves working alongside teachers to make a difference in the lives of teachers, children, and their families!"

Dr. Jared Cleveland, Superintendent, said of Jody Johnson "Her background as an instructional facilitator for Dr. Thompson while leading George Elementary School along with her current AP experience at Bayyari Elementary uniquely prepared Mrs. Johnson to hit the ground running. She is excited to begin this new role and grow the new school with Dr. Thompson."
