READING
Notice and Note signpost moments continued. There will be a signpost moment summative on Thursday, 10/10. Book reports are due 10/10.
LANGUAGE ARTS
There will be a grammar summative (sentence fragments, simple, compound, and run-on sentences) on 10/8.
MATH
How can percents help you in situations involving money? Course 2 students will explore this while working with percents and estimation as well as the percent proportion and percent equation.
Accelerated 7 students will be reviewing for their Chapter 2 Test on Integers coming up on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday will be the introduction of Rational Numbers.
SOCIAL STUDIES
This week in social studies we will be finishing up chapter 2. Students will be writing an essay to answer the question “why did European explorers establish settlements in the Americas?” We will be taking our Chapter 2 test on Thursday.
SCIENCE
In science we are continuing our study of human body systems and how they work together. After researching the various body systems, students will pick two systems and explain how they work together to help a person perform a certain task, such as catching a ball. This activity will be continued the following week.
