May 2023

Dear Pioneer Families,

Unbelievably, we have reached the final stretch of this school year, which once again, will be a busy one, but with so much to celebrate. There are so many great things to be proud of thanks to our partnership and commitment. Personally, it has been an honor and a privilege to work alongside our amazing teachers, staff and families, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing teachers as Teacher Appreciation Week approaches. Day after day, they worked very hard at providing the best learning experience possible for all of our students.

Teacher Appreciation Week is during the week of May 8th - 12th. I encourage you and your student to send a note of appreciation to any teacher who has made a positive impact this year. These positive notes mean a lot to our staff. Thank you to our wonderful PTA/PTO for organizing a special week to recognize and celebrate our staff and teachers.

On the same note, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank and honor two outstanding Pioneer staff members who will be retiring at the end of the school year. Rochelle Loughry and Lupe Cruz have been two of our amazing staff members who have called Pioneer their home for 30 years. Their dedication and commitment to our school community, to bilingual education and most importantly to our students is remarkable. We wish them well in this new adventure!

Thank you, Pioneer families for allowing me to work for you and with you on behalf of our Pioneer Eagles. Pioneer is an amazing and increrdible school, and it has been a gift to serve your Little Eagles.

Here we GROW and GLOW!

Sincerely,

Ms. Anabel

Principal/Directora

Class placement (School Year 2023-2024)

Creating balanced classes each year is a collaborative process that the Pioneer teachers and staff begin working on during the spring and continue to work on until August. Teachers and staff consider academic strengths and needs, gender, social-emotional concerns, language, and peer dynamics as they work to create balanced classes. To ensure that the process is fair and conducted with integrity, Pioneer does not consider requests for a specific teacher. Every Pioneer teacher is highly qualified and will do the best job possible with your child. As the most important adult in your student's life, we realize that you have valuable input to share before teachers create the class lists. Please complete this form to provide your information by 4:00 PM on Friday, May 12, 2023.
