TKES
We have been conducting Formatives for the past two weeks. We are seeing some great instruction going on. I am confident that this will be our norm. There are some great examples of using assessments to differentiate instruction.
Professional Learning Day
On Monday, we had Dr. Guillory on campus to conduct classroom observations and professional learning in the afternoon. Mr. Graham Fletcher delivered training to math teachers and Ms. Thomas delivered to ELA. We received good feedback. We will shift our focus to writing, continue with constructed response and text dependent questioning.
Career Day
Thank you Ms. Pitts and Ms. Goodman for an outstanding job on the Career Day! Also, thanks to faculty who invited guests. We received high compliments from the Central Office Staff and from participants. Way to Go! I challenge you to represent your college and use this as an opportunity to expose our students... (I know that we can show more college spirit than those Fort Valley guys.)
Athletics
Thank you Coach Stinson for an fantastic Fall Athletic Banquet. Congratulations to Coach Knight, Coach Pinckney, and Coach Tolbert on your softball and football seasons.
Our basketball season begins next week. Come out and support our Eagles.
