Information About Senior Portraits
Dual Enrollment Credit
Students currently taking AP Environmental Science, AP Literature, History or Western Civ, or Honors Spanish 3 and 4 have the opportunity to purchase dual enrollment credit from Montgomery County Community College. This is a great way to gather college credit at a cheaper price. The pricing and registration process are posted on the schoology pages of each of these classes, and Mr. Petrella/MCCC have visited each class to share the process with students. Deadline is 10/10 to register.
Any questions, contact Don Petrella at dpetrella@pgsd.org or Mrs. Kulp of MCCC at bkulp@mc3.edu.
Attention Athletes & Parents of Athletes
If you are a college bound athlete considering playing at the Division 1 or 2 level please make yourself familiar with the NCAA Eligibility Center (EC):
As we head into a new school we encourage any student-athletes wanting to play sports in college to create an EC account at eligibilitycenter.org . Incoming freshman and undecided student-athletes may want to register for a free Profile Page account. These accounts can be transferred to a paid Certification account at any time. Profile Page account registrants also get an NCAA ID and important reminders from the EC as they complete high school. Activity in these accounts allow students and parents to partner in the recruiting process and the steps to be NCAA approved to play your sport in college
Any student-athletes planning to compete at an NCAA Division I or II school need to create a Certification account by the end of their junior year.
CURRENT SENIORS::
Given the continuing impact of COVID-19 on the educational environment, the NCAA Eligibility Center has partnered with the NCAA membership to identify the changes to the initial-eligibility certification process for students who initially enroll full time in a collegiate institution during the 2021-22 academic year:
ALL SAT/ACT test scores are waived as part of the evaluation process for eligibility for those entering college in 20-21 (current seniors).
By creating either a Profile Account or Certification Account, you will have access to all of the updated eligibility requirements and waivers, eligibility worksheets and recruiting information.
