Early Learners Highlights!
June 2, 2023
Dear Early Learners Families,
It's hard to believe that the school year is almost over! I want to express my gratitude to all our families who have entrusted us with the education and care of these precious young minds. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and partnership have been instrumental in shaping your children's growth.
To all of our students, we are immensely proud of each and every one of you. Each one of you has grown in unique and exceptional ways over the course of the school year. You have learned to share, to listen, to express yourselves, and to explore the world around you.
I also want to acknowledge our exceptional teachers and staff. Their commitment, passion, and love for teaching have created an environment that has inspired, nurtured, and guided these young minds. They have ignited a love for learning that will stay with these children for a lifetime.
Thank you again for an amazing journey this year and have an incredible summer!
Sincerely,
Marcia Klita

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN EARLY LEARNERS?
We cannot believe this is our final newsletter of the year! We have loved getting to know each one of your kids and seeing them grow and learn. We asked the kids about some of their favorite memories for our last newsletter:

Playing Outside
Swinging outside
Firefighter make

Class trip to Mexico
Butterflies
Dinosaurs
Art projects
Reading books
Gingerbread workshop
As we head into summer here is a general list of things you can do with your child at home to help them build on skills they have learned this year, such as turn-taking, early reading skills, following directions, fostering independence, and problem-solving. Make tons of memories together and we can’t wait to see many of you in the fall. To our class of 2023, we will miss you, but know you will do great in Kindergarten!
⁃ Play board games/ have a family game night
⁃ Cook together
⁃ Read together as a family
⁃ Open-ended art projects to work on fine motor skills
⁃ Free draw/writing time(4-year-olds) encourage them to come up with a plan and independently sound out words to work on perseverance.
⁃ Give them jobs to do around the house( putting away their toys, helping with the dishes, putting away their clothes, getting dressed, etc)
⁃ Building with blocks (3-year-olds) have them work on building up and not just laying the pieces flat.
⁃ Building with Legos (4-year-olds) can they follow along with the directions of how to build something in the Lego book?
⁃ if you don’t have legos at home the library probably has a Lego STEM Kit you can check out as well as other great STEM kits
⁃ Sign them up for the summer reading program
HAPPY SUMMER! WE WILL MISS YOU!
LOVE,
YOUR CLASSROOM TEACHERS
