Autism - It's Different in Girls - Maia Szalavitz
Although there is a lot of research out there today on the Autism spectrum, I have yet to come across any that take a look at gender until this week. Currently, one out of every 68 children in America is diagnosed with autism. A BCMS parent shared an article with me that was very enlightening on how autism is different in girls. It was a well written article that helped shape my understanding and gave me ideas for students here at school. Please take a few minutes for this interesting read. Autism--It's Different in Girls
