INTRODUCING THE FIRST INK TYPING THE MACHINE!

INVENTED BY CHRISTOPHER SHOLES AND CARLOS GLIDDEN

INTRODUCING THE FIRST Q-W-E-R-T-Y DESIGN!

Bad handwriting?

WOULD YOU RATHER USE AND WRITE WITH THE BARGAIN BRAND INK AND QUILL? OR TRY THIS NEW, ORIGINAL MACHINE THAT WILL DO IT FOR YOU! WITH IT'S A-Z and 2-9 KEYS THERE IS NOTHING IT CAN'T SPELL!

What is it?

THIS MACHINE USES TOP OF THE LINE TECHNOLOGY LINKING UP LETTERS AND NUMBERS TO THE CORRESPONDING KEYS WHICH TRIGGERS AN INK STAMP. FROM THERE THE STAMOP GETS INK AND STAMPS ONTO YOUR PAPER. WAY BETTER THAN WRITING WITH AN INK AND QUILL RIGHT? YES!

Who can use it?

WELL, ANYONE! AUTHORS, STUDENTS, AND TEACHERS... ANYONE! FIRST IT WAS RELEASED IN MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, THEN IN THE WHOLE USA! EVERYONE WILL HAVE IT, BUT WILL YOU?

Changing Life?

OF COURSE! THIS WILL CHANGE LIFE BY BEING ABLE TO WRITE BOOKS AND DOCUMENTS FASTER AND CLEARER WHICH CAN HELP TEACH READING AND WRITING TO STUDENTS. IT ALSO HELPED WRITE LETTERS TO HELP COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER.

REFLECTION

I've learned that the typewriter was never orginally called the "typewriter", but rather it was called the Sholes and Glidden Machine. I also learned that it was invented in 1873. Along with that, it was invented in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Also Sholes partnered up with E. Remington & Sons to produce them. They also invented the QWERTY layout which is on many typewriters after their's, it is also on the computer your on right now. Look at letter Q and look every letter right and it spells qwerty cool right? Finally close to 5,000 of the 1st version of the typewriter was sold.

One effect it had on life back then was to be able to type books and documents quickley and neatly. This allowed more books for teaching and reading. Today it has allowed us to make more versions of the typewriter to electronic to finally inventing the computer.

I choose Compare and Contrast and Band Wagoning. For Compare and Contrast I compared the Ink and Quill to the typewriter because it made it easier to write than the ink and quill, so it was the most effective because it showed something difficult everyone was learning and made it easier. Next I choose Band Wagon for saying that it was invented in Wisconsin and it is selling there then the whole USA. I felt this was most effective because it makes you think "hmm maybe I should buy this..."
