THIS WEEK:

MATH: We continued our unit on measurement. We have been working on conversions using the Metric system and moved on to customary units.


READING: We read a Readers' Theater about Martin Luther King Jr. and an event that happened in his childhood that changed him. We are continuing our brief unit on Greek Mythology.


WRITING: We are still working on our inventor research paper.


SCIENCE: We are almost done with our unit on Energy.

NEXT WEEK:

MATH: We will finish our unit on Measurement and will take our Unit 5 Test on Friday.


READING: We will continue our study of Greek Mythology along with a story about Hewitt Anderson, a little boy with great abilities.


WRITING: We will finish our Inventor Research Project.


SCIENCE/SS: Students will begin working on their presentation that they will give at conferences next month! These are great and I cannot wait for our students to share them with you!

Technology:

Students have begun learning to code in their technology class. I am going to work with them as well and we will have a new addition to our classroom next week. DASH, a robot, will be joining our class. Students will have the opportunity to code programs for DASH to follow. I am so excited about this new little guy!

SPELLING BEE:

Congratulations to our wonderful Spelling Bee contestants! They did a great job today, we are all SO PROUD of them!!!
