A Note From Dr. Johnston

It has been another great week at North Forney High School. We are excited to begin the 2nd Semester when we return from the 3-day weekend. Students will report to their 1st Semester - 1st period class on Tuesday. We will hand out 2nd semester schedules at that time.

We hope everyone enjoys the weekend! Both the boys and girls basketball teams play Forney this evening. Boys are at NFHS and girls are at FHS...both varsity games start at 7PM.

Friday Funny

With pointed fangs I sit and wait; with piercing force I crunch out fate; grabbing victims, proclaiming might; physically joining with a single bite. What am I?

See bottom of Falcon Focus for answer...Happy Friday!

Choir Students Compete at All-State Choir Competition

This past Saturday three of our own competed in the fourth and final round of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) TX All-State Choir competition. I am pleased to inform you that two of our singers were seated in the choir and one was named as an alternate.

Lauren Dalton, senior, was named an alternate to the choir in the alto I section.

Kyle Grubbs, senior, was seated fourth chair in the bass II section. This is Kyle’s second trip to All-State.

Trent Hall, junior, was seated third chair in the bass II section.

To achieve this goal is a high honor. Some 15,000 student begin this long process in September and from that about 440 singers are selected. Please join me in congratulating these student for their hard work and dedication. Go Falcons!
