The fear of being killed is seen in the story The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan poe when e goes on a big killing spree. Killing a selected few that he has to kill. " I was never kinder to the old man than during the whole week before I killed him. And every night, about midnight, I turned the latch of his door and opened it --oh so gently!" (Poe 1)

The fear of being killed is still relevant today and can be seen on the news almost everyday seeing somebody being killed by someone that isn't right. no one should be killed on purpose every."I put in a dark lantern, all closed, closed, that no light shone out, and then I thrust in my head.
