BE Connected
Welcome to BE Connected, a space for Bristol Equity Parents to share events, resources, and conversation starters with the school community. This week, we are featuring a few local events taking place in January: two opportunities to celebrate history and another to help build the future. Connect with other Bristol families who are planning to attend by joining our Facebook Group (search Facebook for Bristol Equity Parents).
- Webster Groves has $1 million+ in new funds annually for policing and public safety, due to the passage of Proposition P last spring. The City of Webster Groves and the Alliance for Interracial Dignity are co-sponsoring a community conversation about public safety priorities on January 24 at 7 pm at the Webster Groves library. Our town needs your voice!

School Board Subcommittee on Enrollment Growth
The Webster Groves School District Board of Education will form a subcommittee to discuss projected growth in the district’s enrollment, following a study by consultant Charles Kofron that was presented at its retreat Jan. 6. The subcommittee will use the study to better understand current and future space needs.
Kofron’s report said that “births appear on an upward trajectory” through 2022-23 and elementary numbers are expected to continue to increase through the same period.
Currently, the majority of classrooms in the district are above the standard numbers set out in board policy https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/ePolicy/Policy.aspx?S=448&Sch=448&PC=IHB&Z=P&revNo=1.21&srch=class+size&ktype=Exact&encu=xa9jwu0EeqNJP1lMR8zErI2Eu9hM2yurtmPs7R4uWoF2TkqwKUmplusGRiS5ctCKFplus6I7o6Mjw9mr4QMoNMuObSqnDlA9OssqCZNslshk63RMqZNXjLlG1wNJcvoJb0slshnrUaslshN5C3OF5dplusj3Z4k8KQtFv77mT2XNsZcUrIplusndHTOXwGoRNB2xrRb2at3EfDNrQsID9
