Apps for Mobile Learning
Module 8
Apps You Can Use In Your KinderGarden Class
Intro to Math, by Montessorium
If I had access to tablets or devices for all my students I would open up Intro to Math and have all my students complete three questions together.
Barefoot World Atlas
I would use this to introduce the globe to my kindergarden's. I would also utilize the shape of the globe to show children where other countries exist in regards to Canada.
Educreatures Interactive Whiteboard
FableScapes 2
Gives children, teachers and parents a virtual puppet theatre to play with. Inside, you’ll find a whole world of stories and images for kids which can be created, changed, a great feature is that Fable Scapes allows you to save and share your story! This allows children to delve deeper into their creations.
• Create and collaborate together is one of Fable Scapes motos!
This is perfect to use in a kindergarden environment, as it is an app that understands play. This is essential for kindergarden's learn.
Mad Lib
I would use this app in language arts for a beginning or end exercise, great for any Gr.
Duolingo could be a great substitute for a lesson plan in a language class because of the non complex sequencial layout. This app can also be used to help students struggling to learn concepts (for example students with visual learning disorder, the audio with Duolingo can be enabled to help this child with more help). It is a fun exciting way to learn a language.
