Towel Requested for Lunch
Hello D103 Parents,
We are happy to announce that we are able to increase the distance between students to 6 feet during lunch. This will improve the safety of our students while they are eating with their masks removed.
We believe this change will drastically reduce the number of close contacts (for COVID tracing) during lunch and keep students in school.
Please send your child to school with a towel as they will mainly sit on the floor eating “picnic style”.
Sometimes students will sit on the floor and sometimes they will eat at a table or desk.
We will send the towel home to be washed as needed.
Please have your student bring a towel tomorrow, Wednesday, September 1.
Please make sure your child’s towel is labeled with their first and last name.
Thank you for working with us as we continue to modify processes to keep our students safe.
All the best,
Scott Warren, Ed.D
Superintendent of D103 Schools
