Notre Dame Cafe - Yum!!

With the cold weather now upon us, Cafe Notre Dame will be introducing a Cougar Power Bowl for breakfast this week. Basically like oatmeal, but way better!! - filled with things like steel cut oats, quinoa, flax, chia and apple. You can have pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries to top it off too! A wholesome, power filled breakfast item.

NDHS Session- Drumming Circle!

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Glenn McLeod who will lead us in a drumming circle on Thursday, November 19 in the Fine Arts Room. Drumming is a path of healing that guides us into experiencing the flow of our mind and emotions so we may grow to experience more about our soul.

Scholarships 101 - Applying for Awards @ U of A (Virtual Session)

This event will focus on scholarships and awards offered to students that are starting at the University of Alberta in Fall 2021. The session will discuss available entrance scholarships at the University of Alberta, what makes a strong application, and ways to stand out in a competitive applicant pool. Schulich Leader Scholarships

Nomination is required for the Schulich Leader Scholarship. To be considered as Notre Dame's Schulich Leader nominee, a completed scholarship application needs to be submitted to Ms. Halter by January 4, 2021. An interview with Mrs. McQuay will follow. Optimist International Scholarship Program (Essay Contest)

Please submit 4 copies of your essay to Ms. Halter by January 30,2021. This year's topic is "Reaching Your Dreams by Choosing Optimism". Winning essays at the Red Deer Club level will be considered at the District level for the chance to win $2,500. Simon Fraser University Interactive Webinars: Faculty of Environment

Simon Fraser University (SFU) is in Burnaby BC. SFU's Faculty of Environment is hosting a series of interactive webinars to help students test drive university. Each 45 minute webinar features an SFU professor and current students from different majors within the Faculty including Geography (November 24), Resource and Environmental Management (November 26), Environmental Science (November 30) and Archaeology (December 2). Red Deer College's Winter 2021 Jumpstart Program

Red Deer College's Winter 2021 JumpStart program will be running next term, giving grade 11 & 12 students the opportunity to take a post-secondary course, explore an area of interest and take on a new challenge. Tuition for a JumpStart course is $0, but students will be required to pay for any textbooks. Most of RDC’s courses that are eligible within the JumpStart program are being delivered online, potentially making it easier for students to participate. Message from the Collicutt Centre - Limited Access

As part of Collicutt Centre’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to provide a consistent practice of managing AHS guidelines for safe facility operation, starting Wednesday, November 4, Monday to Friday between 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, students from NDHS & HHHS:


  • will not have access to Collicutt Centre Main Street unless they are attending a program, activity, or have an appointment.
  • may still have access for vending machines, ATM, walking through to catch a bus, or public washroom use, but students MUST leave immediately upon completion of their purpose.

Investment Club

Join Notre Dame's new investment club! We meet every Monday in room 2404 after school. All students may come to any number of meetings at any point throughout the year. No experience is required to join. We will be learning about investing in the stock market and participating in an investment challenge running till the end of the year. Explore the world of finance with your peers!
