Disaster At Sea

How we approached the problem.
Our group decided to approach the problem by filling the oil area with bigger shapes and more squares then triangles. Because it would be easier to collect oil then using tiny triangles.
The Total Area.
Our total area was 242 mi2
Oil Spill B.
This is the the oil spill that we divided up into squares and triangles.
Our work for oil spill B.
This is our work from measuring the squares and triangles.
Should we be worried
YES! Because it killed hundreds of animals in our ecosystem and covered SOOO many birds in oil.
Do you think your area is an exact measure of the space affected by the spill?
No, our group dose not think our area is the exact space affected by the spill.
How accurate do you think your polygons compare to the actual spill area?
Are polygons were some what accurate but did not cover all the oil. We expected our answer to be less than the actual spill size.
