Classroom News and Reminders
Nightly Homework-I don't give an abundance of homework. My expectation is that your child reads for at least 30 minutes each night and practices skip-counting. The two assignments shouldn't take more than 40 minutes.
Attestation Forms- Please complete this form each day. Your child should have it ready to show the bus drivers and the staff on car line.
Assignment Books-Please check your child's assignment book each night and initial it. I check these each morning for signatures and special notes from you. I would like to know that you are seeing the information that is coming home each day.

- Use estimation strategies to assess reasonableness of answers.
- Model and explain how the relationship between addition and subtraction can be applied to solve addition and subtraction problems.
- Use expanded form to decompose numbers and then find sums and differences.
