Activities at RBV

The most frequent question I have received over the past week has been about activities, especially those for the class of 2021. Seniors, we see you! We are excited about the possibility of offering some in-person end of year activities for students. With the change to the Orange Tier in our county, schools will be working together with district leadership to offer opportunities for students while still complying with the appropriate health and safety guidelines. More information will be coming from your sites in the weeks ahead.

RBV Academics

Summer School for RBV students

At the high school level, sites are planning a multi-tiered system of summer school programs.

  • Some of our incoming 9th graders will be invited to participate in a bridge program at the school they will attend in the fall.
  • Each high school will offer a variety of enrichment opportunities for their students
  • All students grades 9-11 will have the option of remediating failing grades for both the fall and spring semesters at a centralized district summer school program.
  • Seniors who need to finish a few more credits in order to graduate in July will be able to complete these classes and graduate from RBV.
Students and families will receive additional information about the programs and enrollment in the coming weeks.

RBV ATHLETICS

On site COVID-19 testing available for all RBVHS athletes

In an effort to continue providing safe and valuable opportunities for our athletes, VUSD is requiring testing for all high school athletes participating in outdoor or indoor competition. To support this process, VUSD will have mobile testing opportunities for students on each campus.

VUSD students do no need to use this testing opportunity, however student athletes will be required to test prior to competing.

There are guidelines on how often testing needs to take place. Please contact your coach for testing schedule and for the onsite testing information and waiver.
