Monk Fryston Weekly News 8.4.22

School target for first week back is

remember to make someone's day.

Uniform Donations

PTA would like to hold a second hand uniform stall on Sports Day. If you have any uniform you can donate please drop it at the office as soon as possible to enable us to sort it ready for the day. Thank you.

Disco Feedback

Following last week's school disco, the DJ told us how much he had enjoying coming to our school. He was eager to let us know how impressed he was with the children's behaviour and how well-mannered they had been during the event. We are so proud of all our children, but it is really special when visitors share our opinion too. Thanks to everyone.

Football Match

Well done to our football team that played a friendly fixture away at Saxton School yesterday. They were wonderful ambassadors for us, and even though the result was not in our favour everybody represented the school brilliantly.

Parking

Sadly, we continue to experience notable problems with parking around our school at the start and end of the day. Please make sure that you leave you car in a safe and legal position. We would encourage anyone who identifies illegal parking to notify the enforcement office directly by following this link https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/parking-fines-and-enforcement (we come under Harrogate District Council)

Personal Items in School.

We have recently seen an upturn in children bringing toys, etc from home into school. This can sometimes lead to items being lost or broken, which can result in children becoming distressed. To keep these toys safe, we encourage you to keep them at home. To ensure the children are stimulated at playtimes, we have a selection of equipment, which we make available every day. Many thanks for your support in this matter.

Sports Day 25.5.22.

Sports Day will be held on 25th May. Parents are welcome to attend and cheer the children on. Races start at 1.30pm, please do not arrive before 1.15pm as the gates will be locked for lunchtime play.
