BHCS Spelling Bee
Thursday, January 9 was an exciting day at BHCS! Our annual spelling bee was held that day. A total of 22 students from third to fifth grade participated in our school spelling bee. Those 22 students achieved this honor by winning a spelling bee that was held in their classrooms. Each of those students was given a list of 450 words to study for the school bee. The spelling bee lasted for 17 rounds! Jax Oliver from Mrs. Campbell’s fifth grade class won the spelling bee by spelling the word “brayed”. Meredith Cates from Mrs. Chalk’s fourth grade class was the runner up. Both of these students will represent BHCS in the District Spelling Bee on February 5 at Cornerstone Charter Academy in Greensboro. Congratulations to all of the participants on a job well done and good luck to Jax and Meredith as they move on to represent BHCS!!
National School Choice Week
National School Choice Week provides an opportunity for the Bethel Hill Charter School community to recognize our students, their parents, our teachers, and our entire staff.
In that spirit, I want to thank the parents who have chosen Bethel Hill Charter School for their children. Your choice and involvement in your child’s education have played an essential role in our school’s success. I also want to thank all of our teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff for their commitment to our students and to making Bethel Hill Charter School the best it can be. Most importantly, I want to recognize our incredible students, whose dedication to their own learning inspires all of us every day.
Sincerely,
Jessica Poole
