Scheduled Safety Drill
On Friday, January 21, the Chequamegon North Campus is scheduled to conduct a fire drill involving all students present. The drill will take place in the afternoon as we have conducted morning drills in the past. We try to stagger drills throughout the day so that students can practice safety procedures in a variety of locations throughout the year.

Be Kind...
During the months of November and December, the Chequamegon School District focused on our strength of Generosity. Generosity includes acts of kindness whether these acts are big or small. These acts of kindness will help others and how we feel about ourselves. Generosity can give us a sense of purpose in our lives.
The students at the North Campus and South Campus wrote down Acts of Kindness on snowballs. The North Campus displayed their Acts of Kindness on a bulletin board to remind us to be kind.

Fyling High
The combined 6,7, and 8th-grade Reading Classes in the Eagle Hub put together a collaborative art mural in honor of MLK day. After reading about Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., each student wrote down their dreams about how they could dream of a better future and choices they could make to create that future. Each white dove contains a word that represents freedom, equality, or justice as inspired by some speech excerpts and quotes from the reverend. Each bar contains a word that describes injustice and inequality. The prison wall represents injustice, but the students noted that this did not keep the birds (representing hope and freedom) from flying high.
