Poor Education
May 2 , 2016
Is your child not getting good education?
72 million children of primary education are not in school and 759 million adults are illiterate and lose their child because of them. Children do not have access to basic education because of inequlities that originate in gender ,
health and cultural identity.
Poor Education Around The World
Children in poor countries face many barriers to accessing an education. Total aid delivered for basic education has dropped for three years in a row , resulting in a 16% reduction between 2009and 2012. This is creating a global funding crisis that is having serious consequences on
countries ability to get children into school and learning.

does your child know how to read ?
In 2013 , 77% of our early education programs around the world met young children's cognitive (thinking skills) linguistic (language skills) , physical and psychosocial (emotional and social) needs. We also reached 38,000 American children with early education and 150,000 , children with literacy programs. For the first time in 50 years a majority of U.S. public schools students come from low-income families according to a new analysis of 2013 federal data a statistic that has profound implications for the nations. The shift to a majority , poor student population means that in public schools , a growing number of children start kindergarten already trailing their more privileged peers and rarely , if ever catch up. They are less likely to have support at home , are less frequently exposed to enriching activites outside of school and are more likely to drop out and never attend college.
