South Middle School
Est. 1932 The Spartan tradition continues…
November 2019
Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
We recently held an all-school Spartan Rally on Thursday, October 24th to introduced our theme for the school year of ‘Spreading Kindness.’ Former South Spartans and current Red River High School students shared some personal thoughts on ‘Spreading Kindness’ and 6th grade students shared their kindness projects. We will continue to focus on ‘Spreading Kindness’ through Prime Time discussions and future Spartan Rallys.
With the start of November comes the end of Quarter 1. You will receive your child(ren)’s report card via email on Thursday, November 7th. November also signals the start of Block 2 sports (volleyball & wrestling) and the first band, choir, and orchestra concerts of the school year. Please see the section below for the dates and times of the upcoming concerts. We encourage our students to do their very best academically and to be involved in other activities as well.
Please check out the rest of this newsletter for more important reminders and information.
Sincerely,
Dr. Joel Schleicher, Principal
