Beating the Odds
Lakeview Staff Newsletter - April 5
Advanc-ED
On Wednesday at our staff meeting, we will talk about some AdvancED pieces to make sure everyone is comfortable with the upcoming visit. I use the word "comfortable" because I truly want us to look forward to the visit as a chance to celebrate the work we do together every day. Remember, AdvancED is about our system and how the individual pieces of our system work together to improve for our students.
If you have not read our Lakeview narrative, please do so before Wednesday morning.
On another note, please look around your rooms and in the hallways as we prepare for our visitors that are here the week of April 15. I am proud of the way Lakeview looks every day, but this would be a good moment to "freshen up" and be sure our spaces look like they celebrate students and student learning.

Structural Items
Need to borrow a USB CD/DVD player? - Melissa has loaners in the library.
Room assignments - We held a building space usage meeting on Thursday morning. Thanks to those who worked together. I have not had a chance to finalize decisions, so please stay tuned.
Sink repairs - While we were at our PD day on April 1, Jeff was repairing sinks at Lakeview (no April Fool's joke). I know we're all looking for places to store things, but one thing that would allow Jeff to repair more of our sinks would be to clean out the cabinets under your sink. Please throw out as much as possible and try to keep this area clear so that Jeff can get from sink to sink faster.
