IMPORTANT: ESE Guidelines
ESE Growth Mindset & Work as a Community TIP of the week: Special education support is a collective responsibility. It requires a team effort to support every Coyote Learner to achieve each required standard. It is crucial that we have documentation and data related to ESE student’s progress toward goals and log of accommodations provided. Documentation such as these are a required component of the process for Special Education Case Managers’ work with Individualized Education Plan writing, quarterly progress reports, and evaluations each year. Data and documentation can be called upon for review by families or advocates at any time, and often does. How can you keep on top of it?
ESE HOWL guidelines to live by:
- Read IEP plans
- Know and follow all accommodations in IEP (can also find in ESE tab on Mystudent)
- Keep a clear accommodation log & put in lesson plans (see sharepoint for several samples)
- Fill out teacher input forms and provide to Case Managers ASAP (required element for IEP meetings)
- Attend IEP/staffing meetings
- Ask for help from an ESE team member or your mentor if you don’t understand
PBIS FOCUS WEEK : TARDIES
Let’s knock out tardies! The PBIS team is asking everyone’s help in attacking tardies next week as part of pilot to try some more focused PBIS HOWL activities.
ACTION: Next week please keep track of tardies of your students. The goal is to award 3 Coyote cash for Own your learning for having 0 tardies in your class for the week. They can earn up to 18 coyote cash!
NEED HELP ISSUING COYOTE CASH?: See members of the PBIS team PBIS reward system experts for help (Jen Larimore, Joanne Ortiz, or Justine Hoch).
CASH FACTS: $160,000 Coyote Cash to date. 12th grade and 7th grade are in the lead this quarter so far. How long will their lead hold folks?

Coyote Spotlight
Faculty Spotlight : New Volleyball Coach Carlye Pelliccia
Hello! My name is Carlye Pelliccia and I am the new Cypress Creek High School Volleyball Coach. I am a mother to an adorable baby boy and wife to a wonderful husband. We are all very involved with the school, enjoy the students and staff, and want the CCMHS Athletic Program to be the best it can be. I graduated from the University of South Florida with my Bachelor in Elementary Education and my Masters in Education. I currently teach 2nd and 3rd grade Humanities for Pasco eSchool.
I have been playing volleyball since I was 10 years old and began coaching recreational leagues when I turned 18. I have recently coached the Cypress Creek Middle School Volleyball teams for the past two years when we were Conference Runner-Ups the first year and Conference Champions the second year. I am extremely passionate about the game and hope to instill a love for volleyball and a hard work ethic within my student athletes. I strive to facilitate a unity of young women to collaborate on and off the court. I look forward to coaching for Cypress Creek High School Volleyball and can’t wait to create a volleyball program everyone wants to be a part of.

Actionable Items
Submit a Faculty or Student Howlout!
Faculty Howlouts will drive our selections for Staff Member of the Week. Each week we will announce all of our HS and MS Coyote staff members of the week! These staff members will have their names announced on the intercom on Friday. At the end of the quarter the Staff Members of the Week will be invited to a special luncheon in their honor! We look forward to receiving numerous staff shout outs so we have many to select from each week!”
Student Howlouts: At the end of the week these students will be invited down to the flag pole in the center of the courtyard where we will have a Coyote Flag to be raised on Friday. These students will get the honor of raising the flag each Friday, and will have their names announced on the intercom! At the end of the quarter we will have a breakfast for all of our Students of the Week and their parents.
