October Follow Up Newsletter
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hello Timberwolf Families,
Just a few quick announcements for things around BTMS this week.
We know we have many new Timberwolves this year and we wanted to let everyone know that we do not wear costume for Halloween at our school. You will see below there is an opportunity to wear you favorite hat on Halloween.
Caps for Cancer
On Wednesday, October 31st, we are doing a Caps for Cancer Halloween fundraiser for Beat Childhood Cancer. In the spirit of Halloween, to have a little fun, and to do something great for others, we are asking students to donate $2 so they can wear their hats at school. Crazy hats, team hats, ski hats, all are welcome.
The challenge to our Timberwolves is to raise $1000 for this charity. How great would it be for our school to be able to help kids in our country and throughout the world? I am pulling for our students to reach their goal.
As a parent, if you wish to make a donation, you can send it with your student or drop it by the school’s main office.
Thank you for your attention to this very worthy cause.

Spirit Night
Veterans Day Assembly
Our school is planning an assembly on Friday, November 9th at 0910 in honor of Veterans Day. We will have a guest speaker from the local branch of the American Legion and members of the Fort Mill High School JROTC Drill Team will present the colors. We will also have a performance by our Honors Chorus and poetry recitals from students in all grade levels.
We love having community members join us at these events and are extending an invitation to veterans who have students at Banks Trail. Please join us in the Media Center at 0840 for light refreshments prior to the main event!
If you plan to attend, please send an email to the address below so we can plan effectively.
Also, we would like pictures (or copies) of our community veterans, ideally taken with “their” BTMS student. Please send these in with your student as soon as possible. All pictures will be safely returned.
Thank you.
