Hello Ramsey Families!
We miss your students and all the things that take place during the school day, and we would love to be back in school - when it is safe! In the meantime, we are thrilled with how your students are showing up for Distance Learning. We want to check in with you and see how things are going from your perspective. If you have more than one child at Ramsey, please complete the survey for each child. Your honest feedback and suggestions will help us to make necessary adjustments.
Thank you!
As an IB World School, Ramsey participates in a Self Study every five years where we reflect on our philosophy and policies, as well as other IB practices . As part of our Self Study review this year, our staff worked on revising our Ramsey mission statement, making sure that it aligns with our beliefs as well as the SPPS district and IB mission statements.
Our new mission statement is:
Empower students to become caring, inquiring, knowledgeable global citizens who honor communities and create a better world.
Student of the Month
Ramsey is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. Each month three students, one per grade, are recognized for one of the IB learner profiles. For the month of November students were recognized for the learner profile of Communicator.
Congratulations!

Coats for Kids
The Salvation Army has begun its coat drive. The Salvation Army’s centers are a place for families in crisis to get help, including coats for their children. Visit any of our Twin Cities Worship & Service Centers to learn about meeting your child’s need for a coat. Supplies may be limited, so we recommend contacting the nearest location before stopping by to find out if supplies are available in the sizes you need.
Families can register with their local Salvation Army:

IB MYP Design
IB-MYP Design Update: Students have been using their creative thinking skills this week as they brainstormed ideas for solutions to the problem they identified that has come about as a result of the pandemic. We are asking students to practice being open-minded since designers do not limit themselves to just thinking of one idea--they consider many ideas before they determine the best idea.
Debate Team
The Ramsey Debate Team has been meeting on Thursdays during Flipside and is busy preparing for our tournament season, which kicks off in January! ALL DEBATERS are invited to pick up their debate evidence binders THIS THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at Ramsey Middle School through the curbside pick-up.
