We have at least one volunteer helping out as agreeter between 5-9pm, but please feel free to assist as a greeter to help make it more of a B/P community event. Read Read Read for Read a Thon!

The last day to read for tickets is Tuesday! All tickets must be turned in Wednesday morning. Please turn in sponsor money at your earliest convenience in the envelope provided. It was in the Friday Folder/backpack.

Read a Thon

Read a Thon started Friday, and March 10 is the last day to read! Your student must read for 15 minutes to earn a ticket. An adult reading to a student for 15 minutes can also earn a ticket! Send in tickets daily to enter the raffles. Tickets are added up to work towards earning a medal. Let's try to have everyone in Room 212 earn a medal this year!

It takes 12 tickets to earn a bronze medal, 20 tickets to earn a silver medal and 28 tickets to earn a gold medal. Remember to take books in the car, while waiting for appointments or during a sibling's activities. Use the timer on the microwave, or your watch or phone. Students really love to have their reading timed and to see those tickets add up!

This is also one of the biggest fundraisers for our paired schools. Please consider sponsoring your child's reading. Challenge your student to read for a certain number of tickets, minutes, or for a medal, and agree to donate to Bryant if s/he reaches that goal!

All Read a Thon info and more tickets can be found on the Bryant/Pattengill PTO website. See button below.

Classroom Needs...

We are in need of napkins. If your child prefers to eat "class" snack, rather than bring a snack from home, please consider sending in a box of crackers or other nut free food. Thanks to families who recently sent in school supplies and snacks!

Parent Lending Library

The Parent Lending Library is a free service to Bryant/Pattengill parents. The Library will now be open on Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:30-9:00 am, in the Bryant main lobby. If you have any borrowed books, please return them to the office or to your child’s teacher. Look for your child's reading level on next week's report card!

Fact Power! Doubles and Helper Facts

Please help your child learn the doubles facts, if s/he doesn't know them yet. When we know a double fact, this can help us know the facts near the double.

For Example:

If I know 6+6=12

then I also can learn 6+5=11 and 6+7=13
