As students are not currently able to check out print books from our school library, World Book eBooks can provide them with new titles to read.

Home Access to World Book Online
Our school has access to several World Book Online products that provide a comprehensive suite of e-learning resources designed for all ages and abilities with articles, videos, homework tools, research guides, and more. World Book Online is a verified and safe reference source for students to utilize.

Pizza Hut's BOOK-IT! Reading Program
The Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Reading Program starts this month. Since 1984, the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program has been dedicated to encouraging reading in schools nationwide. Students in grades K-6 may participate in this reading program. To participate, students read (or are read to) 10 books and then complete the online reading log form listing the 10 books read. Please see the link below for the reading log form.
Please note: Only 1 Pizza Hut free pizza certificates is given per month. Students must read 10 books and submit a reading log form to receive the pizza certificate for the month.
The BOOK-IT! Program runs from October 2020 to March 2021.
Online Reading Resources for Elementary Students
Storyline Online - The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy website, Storyline Online, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations. This resource is FREE.
Vooks - Vooks is a kid-safe video streaming service with ad-free, age-appropriate content. Parents are eligible for a 30-day free trial.
PBS Reading Games - Students can read and listen to stories, play interactive games, and explore a variety of topics on this safe, ad-free resource. This resource is FREE.
Storynory - FREE audio stories for kids, including fairytales, original stories, myths, poems, music, history and audiobooks all read beautifully by professional actors.
StoryPlace - A children's digital library geared more for preschool and Kindergarten-aged children. It is full of fun activities for children to explore and learn. This resource is FREE.
Library Classes This School Year
Library classes will take place in each classroom, rather than the library. The library class schedule is as follows:
- Monday: Grades 1, 8, and 3
- Tuesday: Grade 4
- Wednesday: Grades K and 5
- Thursday: Grade 2
- Friday: Grade 6 and 7
