Beck's Buzz
Week of March 25
Welcome Back
We hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break. I think we can all agree that it was a much needed break for everyone and we can now return rested and refreshed to finish the year strong! We only have about 5-6 weeks of instruction left before we begin state testing so we will be focused on finishing the curriculum and reviewing previously taught items.
Our third benchmarks will be given the first week of April. It is important that students do their best on these tests so we can accurately determine where additional support is needed.
This will be a short week with no school on Friday, therefore no tutoring on Thursday.
Tuesday- Spring sports vs. Hughes
Wednesday- Author Visit in Media Center
Thursday- Spring Sports @ Bryson
Friday- No School
E-LEarning April 8
Students should bring home Chromebooks and all materials on Friday, April 5. Teachers will be hosting live Google Meets based on our bell schedule. Students should be logging into these Meets and completing work posted in the Google Classroom. This is how we will verify attendance. Counselors will also be available to meet with students.
8th GRADE DANCE
PTSA has begun planning for our 8th grade dance, which will be held on May 3. We are excited to celebrate with our 8th graders one last time before they move on to high school.

*Students who are not properly dressed will not be admitted.
*Students from other schools may NOT attend.
There is no cost for the dance however PTSA will be seeking donations
STUDENT APPRECIATION DAY
We are starting to plan and prepare for SAD, Student Appreciation Day which will be held on May 17. This day is a fun-filled action-packed day that requires students to be on their best behavior, therefore students must meet certain behavior expectations to participate.
Students must meet the following criteria to participate in SAD:
- Student has not attended alternative school during the 23-24 school year
- Student has not received any referrals resulting in OSS from March 25-May 16
- Student has not served more than 10 days of OSS during the 23-24 school year
- Student does not owe any textbook/Chromebook/ library fees
Students not participating in SAD will be working in a separate setting with a teacher. They will not participate in any of the activities including signing yearbooks.
Students must have all state testing completed to participate in SAD.
GREENVILLE TRIUMPH SPIRIT NIGHT
We are inviting all of our Beck families to come out and enjoy a Greenville Triumph Game on April 6th and support Beck Academy at the same time. This is a great night out for the family and Beck will receive up to $4 for every ticket sold using the Beck Promo Code- Beck24.
In addition, all Beck students, parents, and teachers will be able to join the half-time parade on the field
