Vision
Academic Excellence and Success
From Mr. R's Desk
Bobcat Nation,
Great things are happening in your classrooms and we would like to document and share the great lessons that are inspiring learning. Throughout the year, if you're doing anything noteworthy such as projects or student presentations, please send me [or admin] an email/text so that we can be there. We definitely want to highlight these best learning practices.
Imagine, if we as a campus do this every day...that we visit and highlight one teacher every day. Now imagine if we have 2 or 3 or even 10 every day. Imagine the impact and culture that we will create. If for any reason, we get bombarded by teacher requests, you can text me the pics along with a brief explanation of your lesson/activity. Let's make it happen!
Teaching Expectations for RHHS

Teachers must provide opportunities where students use technology to create...not just for watching YouTube, playing Kahoot, Quizlet, etc.
*Question to self...How many times do students create projects via PowerPoint, Sway, Prezi, or any other technology tool in my classroom?
Teachers must provide opportunities for collaboration among different groups.
*Question to self...How often do students work in groups/pairs to complete an assignment in my classroom?
Teachers must provide opportunities where students are applying their learning to real world problems.
*Question to self...How many of my lessons are simulated to real world problems where students must find solutions?
Teachers must provide opportunities where students are writing critically.
*Question to self...How many of my lessons require students to write for a real audience or for them to express/explain a learned concept?
