A message from our principal
I want to thank all those who helped make our Open House a great success. There are so many folks who helped; I do not want to omit anyone. I also want to acknowledge our HFCS alums who helped as greeters and tour guides. Know that your efforts are blessed by our Heavenly Father. HE continues to bless our Holy Family school community.
In Sunday’s Readings, we are told to seek out God and in the Gospel from Matthew, Jesus tells is how to do it. Jesus tells us that we need to do the right thing, even if we don’t get what’s right in return. We are blessed who show mercy, who seek for justice, who are humble and helpful. Our blessings come from know we are acting appropriately. Though we may not be recognized for our efforts here in this imperfect world, they will be recognized in the next perfect one.
Congratulations to our middle school students for an outstanding Science Fair. Special thanks to our middle school science teacher, Mrs. Kim Pierce. What an outstanding group of kids!!! Thanks to all our judges who made sacrifices to help our students.
Great luck to six of our middle schoolers who will be competing in the Fort Worth Chapter MATH COUNTS competition. The competition will be held at Tarrant County College. Those representing Holy Family are: Kate Morton, Claudia Leidner, Ava Terrell, Victoria Martinez, Emily Grimes, and William Hughes. Good luck Hornets!
Thanks to Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Gomez for coordinating our Running Club. Some of our families participated in the 5k for the 2nd Annual Heroes for Hope to benefit St. Jude on Jan. 28. The participants, shown below, were June Jones, her family and grandmother, Julia Garcia and her mother, Ashton Brissette, his mother and grandmother, Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Gomez. It was a great race and lots of fun!!!
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
