SHARK MAIL
Friday, January 21st
Friday Message:
Next week, we have the LMS 5th grade family meeting on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. Thursday night, we have the Schoology/ParentPortal session as part of our Family Engagement Series at 6:30 PM. Both meetings are on Zoom and the details will be sent next week. Also on Friday of next week is the math common assessments for all grades, so we will run on a slightly modified bell schedule that day to allow for testing.
We have been getting several folks asking about switching their students back to virtual with the Omnicron variant numbers increasing. As a reminder, we do not have a school-based virtual option this year. There is a virtual school in ACPS that students could register for at the start of the year; however, that school is at capacity and there are no seats remaining.
That's all for this week! Have a great, long weekend, Sharks!

Speak Up Survey:
We are excited to announce that Albemarle County Schools is participating in the annual Speak Up: School Technology Survey.
Speak Up is a national research survey facilitated by Project Tomorrow that provides an easy way for students, parents, and educators to share their views on technology and learning with Albemarle County Public Schools.
Your participation in this survey offers valuable insight for our district leaders and educators. ACPS receives our results with state and national comparisons, providing us with valuable data that can be used for district decisions regarding technology resources and student learning experiences.
Taking the survey is easy!
Follow these instructions to take the survey:
1. Visit http://bit.ly/speakupacps2022
2. Select your school from the list
3. Select your role in the community
4. Read the instructions and begin the survey
The survey should take approximately 20 minutes and will be available from now through February 11, 2022.
We look forward to Albemarle County Schools’ strong participation in Speak Up 2022! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gene Osborn at gosborn@k12albemarle.org.
Please note: we encourage you to use Google Chrome as your browser to assist with translation needs.
*The survey is confidential.
