Here are some updates and important information:

Families with children who will be entering Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten are invited to attend a three-part TK & Kindergarten Parent Education Series. These free, virtual webinars will offer tools, tips, and tricks to help families and their students be and feel prepared for the first day of the 2023-2024 school year in August.

Thank you to everyone who has donated recyclables to the Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge! For the month of January, we collected 92 lbs. of plastic wrap -- our largest haul yet! We are making excellent progress while keeping plastic out of our homes, the environment, and landfills.

As a reminder, please do not include any plastic containers or food items in the Trex recycling bin. Acceptable plastic wrap should be clean and dry and labeled with recycling logo 2 or 4 or have a plastic wrap logo. Pet food bags, floral wrap, and candy bags are unfortunately not eligible for this program. Kindly remove receipts and cut out shipping labels and stickers prior to recycling, as they will disrupt the sorting machines.

The campaign ends on April 15th, so please continue to drop off your recyclables in the Trex bin located in the Aspen courtyard. Thank you for your support!

The Science Fair will take place on Wednesday, April 26th from 5-7 p.m (Set-up from 4-5 pm).

• All students Tk - 5th are invited to participate.
• Each student will receive a Participation Ribbon and Certificate of Science Achievement. A limited number of projects will receive "Special Recognition" Awards for scoring exceptionally high on the rubric.
• There will be hands-on science experiments run by Cal Lutheran Univ. Science Department, Slime Making, Microscope handling, and hands-on STEM Exploration stations to try out and create things!
• We will be selling Excavation Eggs (dinosaurs, fossils, & gems) for those archaeological enthusiasts. There will also be a Make-Your-Own Mad Scientist Party Punch available for purchase.
